Immanuel Baptist Church

Pastor Fred Adkins is originally from Columbia, South Carolina. He has served in several churches in Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. He joined the Immanuel staff in 2001 and we are excited to have him, his wife Dottie, his children Fred III and Gina. Fred brings an excitement to worship and to the music ministry. With Fred's leadership, the choir and orchestra will work diligently in leading the congregation in music and special performances throughout the year. The music ministry at Immanuel is a blend of contemporary choruses and traditional hymns. The choir meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 where they practice for services and special productions. Fred also leads in a small devotion to round out the importance of blending worship with Bible study. The orchestra meets at 4:30 on Sunday afternoon to practice. Adult choir and orchestra are just part of the music ministry. The children enjoy learning music in children's choir. They work on performances and special programs along with musical instruments. Our youth enjoy playing in a praise band and singing in an ensemble. Other opportunities are provided in an adult praise band and with our bell choir, each having part in leading worship...and things just keep growing!
